The mountainous forest microclimate with seasons and quirks offers abundant opportunities to witness species migrations, creature lifecycles, night (wild)life, and to experience activities that maintain ethical standards and positively impact the environment and local community. This boutique relaxed farmstay-style offer provides the best accommodation in the area and a perfect environment to decompress, recharge, and reconnect with nature and yourself. Guests are nature-conscious adventurers and life-long learners who value unique independent and small group nature experiences over mass tourism. ​Stay in a comfortable self-catering home with private balcony, join one of the fascinating day or night tours to investigate nature with an expert local guide, taste fresh honey, join a tasting event or workshop, explore local hiking trails and see what really happens in this neighbourhood, eat at Ivano’s for one of the best dining experiences in Antigua, or just stay in bed with a hot chocolate, a good book and watch the erupting volcano through your window.​ A meal-kit delivery service for those wanting to hide out and dine in for lunch or dinner is offered which includes Guatemalan and international dishes. A cooked breakfast is available by reservation each morning at the terrace. In-room spa services are available and the reserve also has a functional art installation ‘Vaho’ which is a sauna with the best erupting volcano and valley outlook available. The reserve offers transport services including airport and long distance options and also offers a porter service and local taxi shuttle service. Other services include laundry and housekeeping and the reserve also offers weekly and long-term rates. Due to our mountain terrain and uneven paths around the reserve, we are not suitable for extremely unfit guests or guests with walking difficulties. This is a pet-free, adult-only stay destination approximately a 15 minute drive from the historical city centre of Antigua Guatemala.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required.
