Set halfway up the hill separating the Valdarno and Chianti Valleys, Villa Barberino dates back to the 14th-century. It offers landscaped gardens, luxury accommodations, and panoramic views. Air conditioning is available in some units. Accommodations is provided in a number of historic buildings, forming a large country estate on the former grounds of Barberino Castle. The Villa also offers an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. Free WiFi is available in common areas. Il Tributo restaurant is set in the old dining halls of the castle, and serves traditional Tuscan cuisine. During summer meals are also served outdoors. San Giovanni Valdarno Train Station is 5 mi away, with trains to Florence and Arezzo. The villa is easily reached from the A1 Motorway and is ideal for exploring the Chianti wine region. Staff are always happy to offer useful tourist and travel advice.
