• From July 1, 2024, visitors to the city who stay overnight in Cologne's accommodation establishments will pay accommodation tax, regardless of whether the overnight stay is absolutely necessary for business or not. The tax rate will remain unchanged at five percent of the accommodation price. Rentals extending beyond this period will continue to be subject to the second home tax. There will be no double taxation. Please contact the property via telephone or email after booking, if you are travelling with children. When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply.
