If you’ve decided that the Cotswolds is your ideal destination for a last minute getaway, you’ve still got some serious thinking to do – there are lots of great places to stay, and choosing between them can be tricky.
Cirencester is the biggest town that's technically in the Cotswolds, though you could easily base yourself in Cheltenham or Gloucester if you wanted that big town/city feel with all the amenities on hand.
But then you’re missing out on the charming feel of a stay in markets towns such as Stow on the Wold or Tetbury. Bourton-on-the-Water is very pretty too, and is right at the heart of the region.
